Water gymnastics
The water gymnastics of the TV 1874 Bergen-Enkheim takes place (except during the Hessian school vacations) in the hall of the Riedbad Enkheim. The instructor has a C-license for fitness and health, a B-license for prevention and a silver lifeguard certificate. The exercises are performed in the non-swimmer's pool in water about chest-high and are therefore also suitable for non-swimmers.
Water has very positive effects on the entire organism, which is why water gymnastics has long been very important in the rehabilitation sector.
Due to the buoyancy in the water, the strain on joints, tendons and ligaments is very low. The cardiovascular system and muscles are trained gently, partly because abrupt movements and impacts are hardly possible. Exercise loads can be varied as required using the water resistance, making water gymnastics suitable for everyone.
In addition, the hydrostatic pressure of the water has a particularly beneficial effect on the blood vessels and the massage effect of the water promotes blood flow to the skin, connective tissue and muscles. The cold stimulus helps to toughen up and also increases the body's basal metabolic rate.
And last but not least, this sport is even more fun in a group!
